🧬 SNP Purity Identification

Patent-protected SNP-based purity assay using 24 core loci with Naive Bayes classification for accurate coconut variety identification.

Technology

SNP Panel: 24 loci selected from whole-genome resequencing data:

  • High inter-variety polymorphism (Fst > 0.8 across Wenye series vs. CK)
  • Zero intra-variety variation within pure lines
  • Validated on both KASP and iMLDR platforms

Classifier: Naive Bayes model

P(variety|SNP₁...SNP₂₄) ∝ P(variety) · ∏P(SNPᵢ|variety)
  • Training set: 20 standard samples per variety
  • Validation set: 100+ mixed and field-collected samples
  • Accuracy: >99%, purity quantification error ❤️%
